Metro Exodus isn't quite an open world game or a linear, mission-based shooter. After the initial chapters in Moscow, Exodus visits several large, open world-esque maps, where players will shoot up bandit camps and monster nests while completing a handful of story missions.

My favorite map was somewhere between open and linear, following a shoreline for miles through post-apocalyptic villages and encounters with the local wildlife.
